What is Soy Wax?

Soybeans!! They are an extraction from the soybean vegetable which is a natural wax. Natural wax is the main content for making our candles. After the harvesting of beans, it is cleaned, cracked, peeled, and then rolled into flakes. These flakes undergo the hydrogenation process, resulting in the conversion of fatty acids from unsaturated to saturated. It raises the melting point of the oil, and the end product you get is a soy wax.

Speaking environmentally, soy wax is a better choice compared to paraffin wax. 

What is a Soy wax blend?

Soy wax blend is a mixture of soy wax and other waxes to capitalize on the best of the waxes texture wise. Common waxes also include waxes like beeswax, palm wax, and coconut oil. In general, if the wax has more than 51% of soy, it is then a soy wax blend.
